Tactical Edge is Moving to Alaska!
BREAKING NEWS, folks! Buckle up because we’re headed to Alaska! With this epic move, we’ll need a bit of time to pack up our TN operation and get the show on the road in the Land of the Midnight Sun. Any order that has already been placed is being worked on and will be mailed to you! Mark your calendars: October 21 at 5 PM Central Time will be our grand finale for online orders. So, if you’ve had your eye on a certain Tactical Edge model, now’s your golden opportunity! Once we land in Alaska, it might take us three to six months to get back in the swing of things. We can’t thank you enough for all the friendships and support, and we can’t wait to keep the adventure rolling with you from our new home in the Last Frontier!
About Our Blades
Tactical Edge is a family owned and operated business located in Manchester, TN. Our knife designer and maker is Eddie McLemore, a proud veteran of the US Army. He has trained in martial arts and taught several edged weapon disciplines, both in the civilian market and military. During his military service, he relied heavily on his blade. Since that time, he has created edged tools that he feels encompass the ideal blade.
All Tactical Edge knives are handmade using 1095 high carbon steel (our 1/4" blades are made with 5160). Our goal at Tactical Edge is to manufacture edged tools in the tradition of the American craftsman. In handmaking a knife, variations and tooling marks are inevitable. We do not make art - we make quality tools. That being said, we strive to make sure each knife is made with care and attention to detail. Because we believe everyone should be able to afford a quality knife, and in order to keep our prices low, we use the stock removal process rather than forging our own steel. This way, we are able to provide a quality blade at an affordable price.
Barrett Firearms
We had the honor of creating a custom knife order for Barrett Firearms in Christiana, TN, which is just up the road from our shop here in Manchester. I was thrilled to get a tour of the factory at one of the greatest firearms manufacturers in the world.
We get asked all the time about our blade steel. Is it Damascus? Why is there a dark pattern? Eddie explains about high carbon steel and acid etching.
We believe "Whatever you do, do your work heartily, as for the Lord rather than for men..." (Col 3:23).
